J. R. Duffey
J. R. Duffey, 62, a native of Tallapoosa county and resident of Langdale for 20 years, died April 10 in the Valley hosptial, following a stroke he sustained April 1. Services were conducted April 12 from the Shawmut Baptist church, the Rev. Mauriece Hodgens and the Rev. H. M. Gray officiating. Burial was in Shawmut. Johnson and Company in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. Ed Robbins, of Langdale, and Herbert Duffey, U. S. Army; also a sister, Mrs. J. A. Carlilse, of Dadeville.
