Johann Elias Emminger came to America in 1751 from Germany. Andrew was born 20 Jan 1755. Andrew married 1st about 1777 to Catherine Elizabetha Kitch, daughter of John "Michael" Kitch Jr & his wife Elizabeth Frantz. "Elizabetha" Kitch Emminger was the eldest child so according to protocol, Andrew Emminger was named as an executor in his father-in-law's will in 1800. No record of Elizabetha's death or burial as yet.

Andrew & Elizaabeth had 10 children: Barbara b abt 1778; Elizabeth b abt 1780; Susanna b abt 1781; Johannes b 1782 Andrew b 1784; George b 1786; Michael b 1788; Twins Jacob & David b 1789; Abraham b 1791. Estimated death of Elizabeth is after 1791 & before 1804 when Andrew married Christiana Bruner.

Andrew Served in Revolutionary War as a Private in Captain John Lamb's Company under Colonel William Chambers in the 3rd Battalion 4th Class of Cumberland County Militia October 1777.
