Nellie L. Thomas, 79, Olathe, Kan., formerly of Iberia, died Friday at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe (6-17-1988). She was born Aug. 14, 1908, near Iberia, a daughter of Martin and Mary Dake Hicks. She was married Sept 27, 1930, at Tuscumbia, to Bluford Thomas, who died Sept. 10, 1981.
She moved from Iberia to Eldon in 1981 and then moved to Olathe in 1984. She was a housewife.
Survivors include: one son, Herman Thomas, Olathe, Kan.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia with the Rev. John Bouldrey officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
