Frank J. Balsanek.
__Frank J. Balsanek, who resided in Cedar Rapids until moving to Edinburg, Texas, in 1949, died at Corpus Christi, naval hospital Sunday after a lingering illness. Born in Czechoslovakia June 19, 1890, he came to the United States in 1909.
__Surviving are his wife, Barbara; a brother, Joseph Balsanek, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Prochaska, both of Cedar Rapids.
__Mr. Balsanek was affiliated with St. Wenceslaus church, was a member of Karel IV lodge, No. 13, Z.C.B.J., and Prokop Velky, No. 137, C.S.A.
__He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
__Services will be conducted in the Kuba funeral home at a time to be announced later.

Balsanek Services.
__Services for Frank J. Balsanek, who died Sunday in Corpus Christi, Texas, will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. in the Kuba funeral home and at 9 a.m. in the St. Wenceslaus church by the Rev. Anthony W. Chihak. Burial will be in the St. John's cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the D.A.V.
__The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday by the Lady Foresters, Sacred Heart Court No. 727.
__Members of Co. D and the Rainbow division are asked to meet at the funeral home to attend the services in a body. Friends may call at the funeral home.
