Mrs. Ursel I. Chapin, 70, of 600 E. Admiral Blvd., died Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Chapin was a secretary for the Kansas City Police Department 10 years before she retired in 1969. She was a member of the Budd Park Christian Church. She leaves two sons, Robert R. Chapin, Independence, and Donald D. Chapin, Kansas City, Kansas; a sister Mrs. Goldie White, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at noon Sunday at the church memorial chapel; cremation. The family suggests contributions to the church memorial fund. Taken from the Kansas City Star April, 1981.
