Pauline Haynes Camp

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Haynes Camp, 91, of Shongaloo, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2003 in the Old Shongaloo Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Brown and the Rev. Don McCormick officiating. Burial followed in the Old Shongaloo Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill.

Mrs. Camp was born May 27, 1911 in Shongaloo to Samuel Richard Johnson and Agnes Omera Modisette Haynes and died April 22 in Homer. She was a life long resident of this area, charter member and faithful worker of Old Shongaloo Missionary Baptist Church, was a school bus driver for Webster Parish for 28 years and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Freddie Turner Camp, on Nov. 24, 1990.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Lynn Camp Jones and her husband, Herbert Dale, of Shongaloo, Iris Lanell Camp Sanders and her husband, Troy Henry, of Homer, and Doris Sue Pope of Shongaloo; a son, James F. Camp and his wife, Myra Sue, of Shongaloo; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kevin McEachern, Darrin McEachern, Doug Sanders, Mark Sanders, Tommy Sanders, Ricky Camp, Westley Camp and Sean Disotell.
