ROCK HILL - Mr. Isaac George Isom "I.G.", 78, of 210 Point Circle died Dec. 29, 1995, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral is 3 p.m. today from the First Baptist Church with the Dr. Douglas Martin officiating with burial in Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late George Sylvester and Banner Snead Isom. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a member of the John K. Windell Sunday School Class. He retired from the Rock Hill Police Department after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Rock Hill, American Legion Post #34, and the Rock Hill Policemans Retiree Club, SC, Retired Officers Association. He was a WW II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Sturgis Isom of Rock Hill; one son, Marion Sturgis Isom of Easley; one daughter, Lynn Isom Bowie of Edgerfield; three sisters, OIa Newton of Rock Hill, Lillian Hawkins of Rock Hill, Jeanette Orr of Fort Mill; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
