Robertson, Marie N. Marie N. Robertson, of Forney, passed away Aug. 9, 2010. Marie was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Olney, TX to O.L. 'Pete' and Elizabeth Nance. Marie graduated from Forney High School and then went on to attend Icenhower Beauty School in Dallas. She opened her own business, Marie's Beauty Shop, where she worked until her retirement. After retiring, she continued to serve many of her clients from her home. Marie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Forney where she taught Sunday School. A member of Rebekah's Lodge and 4-H Adult leader with her daughters, Marie was always involved in helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed by all who knew her. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Robertson, her parents, her siblings: J.C. and Christy Nance and Opal Nance and her son in law, Alan Routt. She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Shaw and husband, Danny, of Forney; Adabeth Routt of Malakoff; sisters: Betty Stevens of Kemp and Bobbie Simpson of Terrell; grandchildren: Dan Shaw and wife, Melissa, Chris Shaw and wife, Amy, Bryan Shaw and wife, Stephanie, Natalie Tappan and husband, Zach, and Barton Routt; great grandchildren: Gavin Horton, Cash and Macy Shaw and Parker Shaw. Funeral service will be at 11:00am,Aug. 11, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Forney, 1003 College St., with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
