Mr. Lambert, who was fifty-five years of age, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thompson Lambert formerly of this city. He was born at Waynesboro and made his home here for a number of years. He was a druggist by profession and had been engaged in Roanoke until ill health necessitated retirement.
Among surviving relatives are a cousin, Clyde Lambert, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Emmett Lambert, a cousin, Mrs. Morgan H. Hudgins, and an uncle, Dr. S. A. Austin, of this city.
The pallbearerers were C.J. Wright, Albert Bush, Howard Bush, Ed Bush, Charley K. Yancey, Charlie Rusmiselle. Funeral was conducted by Rev. Cousar.
