FORMER MARSHAL COUNTY RESIDENT ANSWERS FINAL SUMMONS...

The many friends of Mrs. Sarah E. Wright will be pained to learn of her death in Houston, Texas, on September 8. Mrs. Wright was born and reared in Illinois, and made a host of friends by her kindly and loveable personality, all of who will treasure greatly the memory of a just and true friend. Sarah E. Wright, was born in Will County, Illinois, March 17, 1867. Her parents were Lewis Linebarger and Mary Ann Noel Linebarger. She died at her home in Houston, Texas, Sept 8, 1921, age 54 years, 5 months and 22 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Alfred Alexander Wright, one son, Raymond L. Wright, both of Houston; her mother Mary A. Linebarger of Kent, Iowa; two brothers, Henry N. Linebarger and Charles H. Justis, both of Denver, Colorado; besides a host of sincere friends. She was united in marriage Dec. 31, 1885, to Alfred Alexander Wright, who survives her. The prominent features of her character were her unselfish, loving, self-sacrificing and unswerving devotion to her family, and sincere loyalty to her friends. She was a friend to the friendless, and her many charities were unostentatious, but numerous and substantial. She was a consistent, militant member of the First Christian Church of Houston.

The body arrived at Varna Monday morning, and the remains were conveyed to the Wright family cemetery, north of Varna, where the services were conducted by Rev. C. W. Leonard, of Varna. Music was by Mrs. Charles B. Statler and Mrs. H. H. Hayes, who sang "Shepherd of Israel" and "Silver Cord". Very beautiful floral offerings from Mr. and Mrs. Alfred R. Wright, and Mrs. Willie Wright of Varna; Henry N. Linebarger and Charles H. Justice of Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gants of Wenona; Mrs. M.
