Gerald J. Francis, 79, a former Genevan, died this morning after a short illness in his home in Erie. The funeral will be Saturday in Erie and the burial will take place there. Mr. Francis was a member of the old Company B Regiment in Geneva under Captain Stacey. He worked in Geneva for many years at a local hardware store. About 20 years ago he moved to Erie where he has been a salesman for a hardware concern. His survivors include his wife, Martha Scollin Francis of Erie; three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Hazel) Heusler of Penn Yan RD; Mrs. Fred (Edna) Snook of Geneva RD 1; and Mrs. Helene Cholet of Norfolk, Va; seven nieces and six nephews.
