Carol Lynn Shively was born on December 25, 1951 in Baker, Oregon. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Shively of Waitsburg.

Carol transferred to Wait-Hi in 1968, took part in Model Elections, the Mock United Nations, and was in several all school plays. She was a member of National Honor Society, Girls' League, Pep Club and was on the honor roll both years in school here. She was the Salutatorian of the 1970 Wait-Hi graduating class, and worked on the Cardinal staff, Drill Team and played Girls' Basketball and Tennis.

Miss Shively is survived by her parents at the home, four brothers, Alan Shively of Seattle, Mathew, Mark and Nick Shively at the home; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Farmer, Sr. of Baker.

The rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening [October 19, 1970] at the Langrell chapel in Baker. Funeral mass for Miss Shively was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday [October 20, 1970] in Baker, Oregon, with interment following in Mt. Hope Cemetery there.

Miss Shively was born Dec. 25, 1951 in Baker, Ore., she lived some time in Springfield, Ore., moving to Waitsburg with her parents in 1968. She attended Waitsburg High School, was a member of National Honor Society, and Salutatorian for her graduating class in 1970. She was a student at the University of Washington and a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Waitsburg.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Shively at the home; four brothers, Alan Shively of Seattle, and Mathew, Mark, and Nick Shively also at the home; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Farmer, Sr. of Baker. Funeral services and interment will be in Baker.
