The former Velma C. Fick was born Sept. 18, 1909, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Clara Koss Fick. She married Harold E. DeBord April 16, 1949, in Rock Island.
Mrs. DeBord was a member of Moline Moose and was a Gray Lady for the American Red Cross, a Girl Scout leader and a crossing guard for the Moline School System.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and embroidery.
Survivors include the widower; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Kendall Johnson, Geneseo; sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas and Fran DeBord, Moline, and Joseph DeBord, East Moline; and four grandchildren.
