Daughter of Hayburn Rube "Rube" Browning, Sr. and Laura Anna Craig. Sister to Mayme Ruth "Ruth" Browning, Anna "Ann" Mae Browning, Eunice Sue Browning, and Hayburn Rube Browning, Jr. Katherine never married prior to her death. Her death was due to a rollover auto accident while crossing a set of railroad tracks in Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services were handled by Embry-Bosse Funeral Home.
