Mrs J. C. Carrico Dies Here Wednesday

Mrs Dona Carrico, a resident of Izard and Fulton Counties practically all her life, but for the past few years of Mountain Home, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs U. E. Hudson at the River View Hotel, at this place Wednesday night at 10:30 o'clock. She had been in failing health for the past few years and suffered a stroke about five years ago. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs Carrico was born at Newburg where she spent her early life. She was married to Joseph C. Carrico, to which union seven children were born. The family resided at Wild Cherry for many years and at Calico Rock for several years before moving to Mountain Home. She had been in Calico Rock for two months preceding her death. She was a devout Christian, having united with the Methodist Church early in life and remained a member until called by death.

Surviving are her husband, J. C. Carrico; four daughters, Mrs Bessie Hudson of Calico Rock, Mrs Ida Passey of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs Alice Estes of Payett, Idaho and Mrs Bertie Groves of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sons, Arval Carrico of Mountain Home, Claude Carrico of Calico Rock and Austin Carrico of Viola, Ark.; one sister, Mrs Evelyn Richardson of Birchtree, Mo., and one brother, Dr J. F. Reese of Mtn View, Mo., and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Calico Rock Presbyterian Church today, Friday at 2:30 p.m., by the Rev Hubert Morrow. Burial was in Rose Lawn Cemetery at this place, with the Roller Funeral Service in charge. Pallbearers were; Dr Noel Copp, J. O. Cheney, Hale Garner, Reed Perryman and Neill Brooks.
