Fred Ames of Helga Township Dies Today
Fred Ames, 77, of Helga township, passed away early this morning at the Bemidji Lutheran Hospital.
Born in Wisconsin Aug. 2, 1868, he had lived in Guthrie for the past 43 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clara Ames; one daughter, Mrs. Maude Rice of Mission, Texas; three sons, Leonard and Calvin of Guthrie and Fred of Bemidji; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Daisey Horton of Rogue River, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held in the Guthrie town hall with the Rev. Charles Swindells of Laporte officiating and burial will be in the Guthrie cemebery.
