Thomas and Anna did not have children. He was a Farmer. In a letter written by his wife, Anna, dated Dec 17, 1903, she mentions that "I still have my home on the farm (this was a wonderful 500 acre farm just out of Chelsea, about a mile from the center of the city: inserted by relative) where you once visited me. It is changed since then, as I think we had not built on the addition to the house, when you were here. My very happy home is a changed one now. I have not stayed here more than half of the time since Mr. Sears went away."
