Charles C. Cash, 87, of Shelbyville, Indiana formerly of Crothersville, passed away at 2:39 AM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. He moved to Crothersville in 1975 from Indianapolis.

Born April 18, 1923 in Linton, Indiana he was the son of Eli and Cora E. (White) Cash who both are deceased.

Serving in the United States Army from 1943 until he was honorably discharged on December 23, 1944.

Charles married the former Zelma Morgan on September 7, 1953, she preceded Charles in death on November 6, 2002.

He was a member of VFW post 1083 in Crothersville, former Lions club member in Crothersville, active Lions club member in Shelbyville, successful businessman & entrepreneur, working in Hardware Sales in Indianapolis. In 1980 he started Mr. C's Minimanykey Barn after taking the Foley-Belsaw locksmithing correspondence course. Charles owned and operated the business in Crothersville until moving to Shelbyville in 2006. He was always intrigued with furthering his knowledge in learning. Included are the certificates he has earned through his life time, Gosport High School Diploma, 1941, McCammon Course-Effective Speech Salesmanship & Human Relation, 1943, Lain Business College accounting, 1947, Boston Gear Works Sales Engineering, 1953, Arsenal Technical Evening School Hydraulics 1964, Reeves Institute of Mechanical Variable Speed 1965, Reliance Distributors Training 1966 &1967, Litton Power Transmission Division 1971, State of Indiana Real Estate course and license 1973, Hunters safety instructor 1977, Crothersville High School Adult computer class 1993, American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers Member 1999-2001, American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers Mastering the sole proprietorship tax return 2000.

His half sister, Ethel M. Rogers, preceded him in death.

Survivors include several nieces & nephews and great nieces & great nephews.

Cremation was chosen by Charles with a graveside memorial service to be held at the Crothersville Cemetery on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
