Obituary: DEAL Anna Lorain Deal was born on April 16, 1912, in Roff, OK. She passed on to the Lord on November 25th at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Anna Christine and Thomas Butler Nash. Lorain was united in marriage to Homer L. Deal on February 20, 1932, in Oklahoma City. Homer and Lorain were married for 52 years; they were long-term residents of Oklahoma City and Edmond. Lorain was a Sunday school teacher and faithful Elder's wife at Churches of Christ in Capitol Hill, 36th and Prospect, Hillcrest, and Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, and Meadow Brook in Fort Worth. Lorain spent many Sundays on the highways as Homer drove to preach for young churches in Choctaw, Okemah, and Wellston, OK. Lorain's professional career included many years as an accountant for Mr. C. R. Anthony. Mrs. Deal was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and one sister, Mae Tarlton. She is survived by her son Lloyd Allen Deal and his wife Barbara of Edmond and one sister, Helen Marie Adair of Midwest City. There are 4 grandchildren: Larry Deal and his wife Leslie of Jonesboro, AR, Cherilyn McAllister and her husband Kent of Kansas City, MO, Ron Deal and his wife Nan of Jonesboro, AR, and Roger Deal and his wife Cheryl of Columbus, NE. 15 great grandchildren mourn her passing, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. Services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday November 27th 2002 at Memorial Road Church of Christ with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home-Edmond Matthews Funeral Home Locally Owned 601 S. Kelly, Edmond 341-2787
