FARLEY, Iowa -- Marie E. Kronlage, 91, of Farley, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a CDA Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and a wake service at 8 p.m.

Marie was born on Oct. 13, 1918, in Worthington, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Heims) Kelchen. She received her education in the St. Paul's school in Worthington.

She married Raymond F. Kronlage on Jan. 25, 1939, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington; he preceded her in death on March 21, 1999. She enjoyed farming with her husband.

Marie enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing, golfing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley and the Farley Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Presentation Court 1460.

Surviving are a son, Donald (Cathy) Kronlage, of Dyersville; three daughters, Verna Bonifas, of Dubuque, Judy (Pat) Hagerty, of Bankston, and Linda Chapman, of Dubuque; 17 grandchildren, Mary Jo Dalsing, Joyce Bonifas and Mark (Lois) Bonifas, all of Dubuque, Lori (Frank) Lahey, Amy (Darren) Kapparos, of Sherrill, Lisa Bonifas, of West Des Moines, Gina (Scot) Cook, of Columbus, Ohio, Duane Hagerty, of Chicago, Shari Hagerty, of Bettendorf, Jill (Mike) Petsche, of Bankston, Dan (Karla) Hagerty, of Peosta, Paul (Angie) Kronlage, Russ (Jodie) Kronlage, Scott (Julie) Kronlage and Jenny (Jim) McDermott, all of Epworth, Brian (Angie) Kronlage, of Dyersville, and Jodi Chapman, of Madison; 20 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Foxen, of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Florence Kelchen, of Manchester; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Verna Lee) Kronlage and Art Kronlage, both of Dyersville; and a sister-in-law, Mabel Kronlage, of Monticello.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Nikki Chapman; two sons-in-law, Eldon Bonifas and Mike Chapman; three brothers, Paul, Lawrence and Alphonse Kelchen; and four sisters, Veronica Polfer, Rose Heying, Louise Vaske and Erma Koppes.
