He married Albertine Carolyn Becquet on 10 December 1966 at Newkirk, Kay County, Oklahoma.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and enlisted 23 Jun 1945 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He was a member of the Madison, Kansas Methodist Church and a member of the Kansas Masonic Lodge. Fred had been a rancher, sold and bought cattle for a number of different cattle companies and was manager of feedlots in Oberlin, Kansas and Kinsley, Kansas.
He was loved and respected by his three children and two step-children.
