Ruby Mae Summers, age 88 of Cowan, TN passed away August 6, 2010 at Willows at Winchester, TN.
Retired from Genesco, she was a devout Christian and a member of Cowan First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Richard Ashley and Annie Mae Gann Ashley; husbands, Oscar Hill and Homer Summers; son, Parker Hill; brothers, James Ashley, Richard "Cotton" Ashley and Harold Ashley; sister, Margaret Whitman.
Survivors include her nephew and caregiver, Horace (Sara) Hill of Cowan, TN; nephews, Charles (Barbara) Whitman of Kentucky, Danny Whitman of South Carolina, Michael (Lola) Whitman and Phillip (Lynne) Whitman of Indiana, Ricky (Dawn) Ashley of Pontiac, MI; nieces, Andrea (Danny) Walton of Estill Springs, TN, Tish (Mark) Perry of Tullahoma, TN, Linda (Don) Leamon and Sharon (Gary) Woods of South Carolina, Beverly Reynolds of Manchester, TN; sisters-in-law, Marie Ashley of Cowan, TN and Jo Ann Ashley of Pontiac, MI; numerous great nieces and nephews; a host of friends including her special friend, Emma Holt.
Visitation will be 12-3 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Moore-Cortner Chapel.
Funeral services will follow at 3 PM with Rev. Tim Brown officiating.
Interment at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
