Douglas Wayne Bouler, Sr., 73, died Wednesday evening, August 4, 2010, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.

Doug was born May 24, 1937 in Beulah, Miss. to the late Otis N. and Beatrice Miles Bouler. He graduated from Delta State with a B.S. degree in Accounting and has been a self-employed Certified Public Accountant for forty years. He served as a Staff Sgt. in the United States Marine Corp.

He was a Baptist and a past member of the Civitan Club. Doug was very active in Dixie Youth Baseball, having served as past president and on the Youth, Inc. Board of Directors.

Mr. Bouler is survived by two sons, Douglas Wayne Bouler, Jr. and wife, Lauren of Atoka, Tenn. and George Randall Bouler, Sr. of Clarksdale; his former wife and friend, Allene Ferri Bouler of Clarksdale. He is also survived by sisters, Sallie Kirkland of Somerville, Tenn. and Virgie Morphis of Pocahontas, Tenn. and one brother, Ronnie Bouler of Memphis, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Jonathan Walker Bouler and Douglas Wayne Bouler, III, both of Atoka, Tenn. and George Randall Bouler, Jr. and Arthur Preston Bouler, both of Clarksdale.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, O'Neal Bouler.

Visitation for Mr. Bouler will be held Friday, August 6, 2010, at National Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Services will be Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at National Funeral Home with burial in North Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, Miss.

National Funeral Home of Clarksdale is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be given in Mr. Bouler's memory to the Clarksdale Serenity House, P. O. Box 524, Clarksdale, MS 38614 or to the donor's choice of charity
