Agnes Marie Lambert Neely, 74, of Rich Creek, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 8, 2010, at her home. She was born in Wyoming County, W.Va. on January 25, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Druey Davis and Ora Gray Thomas Lambert. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Paul Neely; one son, Terrial D. Thompson; a brother, Druey D. (Buck) Lambert Jr.; an infant brother, Bobby Joe Lambert; and three sisters, Helen Hill, Ruby Reed and Norma Brown. Agnes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be remembered as a special caregiver to her family. Left to cherish her memory are a great-granddaughter, Emma Rae Havens, of the home; a daughter and her husband, Tammy and Keith Lindsay, of Hot Springs, Va.; three granddaughters, Terri Lee Thompson, of Rich Creek, Morgan and Kortni Lindsay, both of Hot Springs; another great-granddaughter, Katie Havens, of Narrows; two special nephews, Johnny Reed, of Rich Creek, and Greg Reed, of Charlotte, N.C.; many other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Becky Prunesti, Kathy Copeland, Butch Copeland, Ronnie Elliott, Jim Brown, Vanessa and Timmy Thompson and Lynn and Lacy Akers. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastor Dave Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Monday August 9, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider either Carilion Hospice – New River Valley or the Giles County Relay For Life to benefit the American Cancer Society .
