Nollie May Jelks was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, lived in Loma Linda for 50 years, died Saturday of cardiovascular disease at home in Loma Linda at the age of 93. She worked at Hughes Aircraft for 20 years and was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Hill Church. She was survived by her daughter, Avanelle Webb of Yucaipa, her brother, Brad C. Allen of Jefferson, Texas, two sisters, Nell Ballard and Norma Wokott, both of King, Texas, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today and the family suggests donations to "It Is Written."
