DORRANCE Neal E. Mehl, 68, died May 4, 1998, at the Russell Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Ellsworth County to Edward and Kathryn (Stoppel) Mehl. He grew up in the Holyrood area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea.
He married Edie Herrman on Dec. 17, 1953, in Ellsworth. He was an automotive parts salesman. He lived in California for 35 years and retired to Dorrance in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, of Cypress, Calif.; two daughters, both of Cypress; and three grandchildren.
Services were at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Holyrood, with the Rev. Lloyd Sprick officiating; burial in the church cemetery.
