Mrs. Comer L. Burch passed away in the Hamilton County General Hospital at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 1976, after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1884, in Tennessee, to Joe and Mary Short Bradley. She was married to Alfred Burch on April 29, 1900. They Had lived in Hamilton almost all their adult lives. Mr. Burch preceded his wife in death July 23, 1960.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Burch in the Riley Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. Rev. Tom Tribble and Rev. Wesley Jones officiated, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery.
The deceased was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hamilton.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Doc Tippie of Hamilton, a son, Judson Burch of Fort Worth, and a daughter-in-law, Bertha Ray Burch of Stephenville. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Willie Meyer and Mrs. Zora Trumble, both of California. There are three grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
One son, Curtis Burch, preceded his mother in death.
Pallbearers were Bert Schrank, Bill Short, Lee Parrish, Tom Hermansen, Gary Burch and Kenneth Burch.
