Mr. Benjamin Fletcher was the third child of the late Mr. Benjamin Casaer Fletcher and Mrs. Betty Mae Fletcher, who preceded him in death. He confessed his belief in Christ at Christian Liberty Baptist Church. There he remained a member.

He received his education through the Attala County Public School System. He retired from construction work due to Illness.

He was joined in holy matrimony with Miss Annie Dotson. To this union, four children were born.

He leaves to cherish his memories a caring and devoted wife, Mrs. Annie C. Fletcher; two daughters, Shenita Dotson of Milwaukee, WI; and Adraine (Derrick) Allen of Kosciusko, MS; two sons, both of Kosciusko, MS; James (Tinsa) Dotson, and Leaner (Libby) Dotson. Others left to mourn his passing include his three brothers, Willie James (the late Veradle) Fletcher of Milwaukee, WI; Billy Ed (Geraldine) Fletcher of Detroit, MI; and Eddie Davis Mallet of Toledo, OH; a loving mother-in-law, Lela (Ivory) Dotson of Kosciusko, MS; and his blessing were increased with twelve grandchildren and four sisters-in-law, and a host of nephews, nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
