Edward served as a Second Lieutenant & Bombardier on B-25D-1 "Tinkie" (#41-30315), 500th Bomber Squadron, 345th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Colorado prior to the war.

Edward was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-25 didn't return from a bombing mission over Hollandia, New Guinea during the war. He and was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
