Pvt. Harry Wortman was a member of HQ Company, 194th Tank Battalion and was stationed in the Philippine Islands when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
After four months on fighting, he became a Prisoner of War when Bataan was surrendered to the Japanese. He took part in the death march and was held as a POW at Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan. He died of disease at Cabanatuan.
