Iver J. Skaar, age 61 years of 3428 Sheridan Avenue N, passed away at the Swedish Hospital on January 21, 1953, following an operation.
He was the son of Endre Iverson and Synova (Broin) Skaar, born in Kenyon on March 10, 1891.
He was in WW1, and was an Engineer by trade. He and Gurina J. Hendrickson married June 17, 1920.He is survived by his wife, Gurina J (nee: Hendrickson); daughter, Sylvia Loyd of Saint Paul; 2 sons: Harvey E. Skaar and Ltd. Donald L Skaar, of Albequequerque, New Mexico; 3 sisters: Mrs. Martha Germandson, Mpls; Mrs. Christine Wickum and Mrs. Amanda Musgjerd, Kenyon, MN.; 5 brothers: James, Saint Paul, MN; Edwin, Mpls; Ole, Kenyon; Clarence and Iroll, Northfield; 4 grandchildren. Services are Saturday, January 24, 1953. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Minneapolis.
