If Solomon was born in May, 1769, and died in 1852, then he was 82 years old, NOT 92 years old as his tombstone shows.
He was one of eight children born to his parents, Jonathan Oakes, Sr. & his 4th wife, Abibail (Rand), who didn't even marry until April 26, 1762. Jonathan Oakes 3rd wife, Sarah (Wheeler) didn't die until May, 22,1761, so I doubt if Solomon was born in 1759 (in order to make him 92 years old when he died).
Solomon was the twin of his sister, Sybil Oakes. They were both baptized November 19, 1769 at Harvard, MA.
Solomon married Susanna "Susan" Clark in 1786 in Canaan, Maine.
Their thirteen children:
Othniel, Sybil, Olive, Millie, Nancy, Abigail, Susan, Solomon, Jr., Morning Flagg, Owen, Lydia, Amanda & Elbridge Oakes
