Marcetis began work in 1962 as a sales clerk for Sparks Department Store in Vancouver. Marcetis was quite involved in the Vancouver First Methodist Church; she taught 2nd grade Sunday school and sang with the choir. An active member of the PTA, she received the "Golden Acorn Award" in the late 1950's. In 1980 Marcetis retired as the main floor manager and bridal consultant at Sparks. Her husband, Julius, passed away in 1990 and in 1995, Marcetis relocated to Centralia to be near her son and grandchildren.
Marcetis enjoyed gardening and bowling and was always an active participant in her children's lives. She will be missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and her sisters: Esther Dunakin, Delous A. McGuire, Lois D. Teeter, and Naomi E. Blayney.
Surviving Marcetis are her sons, Mike (Henrietta) Rash, Houston, TX and Don (Lynn) Rash,Centralia, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rash passed away at the age of 91.
