During WW11, he served his country with honor in the Pacific Theatre, and is laid to rest in the Veterans section. Wayne was also in the National Guards, for many years.
Before joining the military, he was a school teacher.
His passion for airplanes continued long after he gave up his private pilot's license. When illness overtook him, and he could no longer drive, family members would take him for rides to the Beloit Airport.
He owned and operated A.W. Miller Used Cars in Beloit, and was a Notary Public.
Wayne loved all animals, expecially cats and dogs.
He'll be remembered for his gentle, kind, and quiet spirit.
