OBIT-Cortland Standard--George W. Angell, 66, of RD 1, Homer, N.Y., was pronounced dead on arrival at Cortland (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital Jan. 12, 1988, after suffering a heart seizure in the town of Taylor. He was born March 3, 1921, in Cuyler, the son of Floyd and Lenona Hyer Angell and had resided in the Cortland County area all his life. Mr. Angell was employed by the Tuffley & Son Trucking Co. for 33 years, retirig in December 1983. He was a member of the Railroad Historical Society of Syracuse and Teamsters Local 65. Mr. Angell had attended Cincinnatus Central School and was an avid outdoorsman. On Nov. 4, 1949, he married the former Marjorie Fox, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ivan and Eddy, both of RD 4, Cortland, five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lambert of Cuyler and Mrs. Elizabeth Cole of East Freetown; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Stewart Angell, who died in October 1984. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Black Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, with Alfred Boice of Marathon officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Taylor Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Mr. Angell may be made to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad or to the Cortland County Heart Fund.
