Funeral servlcen were conducted Jan. 29, 1971, at 2:30 p.m. from, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill ' Duncan, the Rev. Wayne Spencer, the Rev. Terry Howard, and the Rev. Jimmy Yarbrough officiating. Interment was nt the Welch Cemetery.
Upton Funeral Home of Mendenhall was In charge of arrangements.
The Simpson County native was born March 14, 1887, He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons, Fordie Welch, Wilson Welch, and Woodrow Welch, all of Mendenhall; one brother, Wllloughby Welch, Mendenhall; four sisters, Dora Williamson, Euginla Thompson, and Corlne Cliburn, all of Mendenhall, and Wllma Cllburn, Jackson; 14 grandcnlldren; and 24 great grandchildren.
