Amos R. BROWN, resident of Steamboat Springs since 1908, passed away at the Valley View Manor in Craig on Tuesday evening. July 09. Private Services for the family are planned for Friday in Steamboat.
Born in 1880, he was for many years with the bank in Steamboat and also was active in ranching in this area. His two children, Marvin BROWN and Betty Brown NASH, are both residents of Steamboat Springs. His brother, Lloyd, is associated in insurance here.

Amos Robert BROWN, resident of Routt county for the past 60 years, passed away the Valley View Manor in Craig on Tuesday, July 09, following a long illness. He was 88 years of age at the time of his death.
Born in Iowa on September 17, 1880, he moved to Colorado and Routt County in 1908. He was a rancher in this area until his retirement.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs.
Surviving is one daughter, Anabeth NEISH of Steamboat; one son, Marvin of Steamboat; one brother, Lloyd L. of Steamboat and Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His wife, Daisy preceded him in death.
Private Services for the family were held on Friday, July 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Root Mortuary Chapel. They were conducted by the Rev. J. Thomas Bennanzar. Interment was in the Steamboat Cemetery.
