Funeral Roselynn L. Owen, 59, of Decatur will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Owen died Saturday, October 25, 1997, at Columbia Medical Center in Huntsville. She was born August 23, 1938, in Jackson, Tennessee to Augustus Lynn and Bernice Fant Lewis. She was a librarian for 36 years and retired in 1996 from Oak Park Middle School. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota and Delta Kappa Gamma education sororities and the Morgan County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and Semper Fidelis Sunday school class.
She is survived by her husband, James P. Owen; and one daughter, Joy Owen Moats of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Arzie Grimes, Edward Mathis, Jim Halbrooks, Steve Harkins, James Crowley and Billy Watterson.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
