Orville Howard Cotner, Son of Arthur Andrew and Cecil Marie Love, husband of Vesta Mae Gross (Married Vesta Mae Gross (born 22 Sep 1918) on 22 Dec 1940 in Lushton, York Co, Nebraska). of Lushton, Waco, Nebraska, USA. Orville was served with the USAAF in WWII and lost his life when his plane, B17G 44-6500 100th Bomber Group crashed near Neukölln, Berlin, Germany....

Received a direct hit by flak, believed to have been a ground rocket, on the right wing just as bombs were released. Right wing was folded up against fuselage and the AC flipped over on its back. The wing gasoline tank exploded and the entire AC began to burn and then exploded.
