Albert Joseph Tomlinson registered for the draft June 30, 1942, was inducted into the Army March 17 at Pittsburgh, and entered active service March 24, 1943. He joined Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on July 24, 1944 and served as a Light Machine Gunner. He was killed in action August 11, 1944 in the vicinity of Mortain, France.
