Served in both Army and Marines during WWII and joined when he was only 17 years old. Served during the worse battle at Iwo Jima. Married Roseanna Weldon. The marriage produced three sons, William III, Richard James and Wayne Scott. Also two granddaughters, Autumn and Whitney Lundgren.
My uncle Bill was a "jack of all trades" and worked at various jobs, including a policeman on the Albany Police Department.
My uncle died of lung cancer.
He is buried with his deceased son, Richard.
