George Parrott

b 10 Feb 1833 Cook Co., TN
son of Job Parrott / Sarah Swagerty
Natives of TN

Enlisted in 1862 CO K 25th MO Volunteers, and served for some time, then was transferred to the 81st MO remaining there until the close of his term of enlistment in 1864.

After his service he returned to MO residing there until the fall of 1874 then moved to the Willamette Valley, OR. In 1878 he then went to Klickitat County and settled on a piece of school land, which was his home until 1887 when he filed a homestead claim to a tract near Goldendale.
