1st Lt. Benjamin I. Berry of Carrizozo, New Mexico died in France from wounds received. He served in the 147th Machine Gun Battalion, 41st Division. After arriving in France he was reassigned to the 5th MG Bn., 3rd Brigade, 2nd Division. An identified brother was R. E. Berry.1st Lieutenant U.S. Army, World War One-Lt. Berry died of his wounds with the AEF in France.
Lt. Berry is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Berry of Carizozo, New Mexico.
