Lou Cordelia "Delia" was the daughter of James Manley Reece (1856-1886)and Mary Queen (Feb. 1859-1900) and was born on 6 Jul 1882 in Jackson Co, NC.

James Manley and Mary married in 1878 in North Carolina. Mary Queen was born in Henderson County, North Carolina. We do not know where James Manley or Mary are buried. They both died in North Carolina. James Manley was murdered by his step father.
There is a VFW Post in Wilmington, North Carolina named after Manley Reese. NOTE: The spelling of her maiden name. On some sites it's Reese and others it's Reece. James Manley Reese was the son of William L. Reese (1835-1864) and Nancy Emmaline Moore (b.1821-1925 Yes, per her death certificate she died at age 104.)

She married John Christopher Columbus Goins, Sr on 12 January 1897. They had several children. She was a house wife all her life and a devoted wife and mother.

She was one of the kindest persons you could ever meet. Her door was always open to anyone who needed help. She raised her children and taught them God's teachings.

She will never be forgotten. I love you Grandmother. (Johnny Egger)
