Arnold was the third child born to Angelo and Anna (Annina Corniello) Cipriano. He had an older sister Grace Cipriano Culp, and an older brother Anthony aka Tony Cipriano.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on 6 Nov. 1943 and served in the 406th Infantry Regiment, 102nd Infantry Division. He was killed in action in Rheindahlen-Hardt west of Munchen-Gladbach, Germany, during the "Battle of the Bulge." He was only 20 years old and had a girlfriend named Barbara.
