Son of Benjamin Bramble Baldwin and Lillian Jessie Baldwin of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He studied history and music at the University of Toronto (B. A. Music in 1938; 1 year post-graduate studies); he was the organist and choirmaster at Toronto's College Street United Church.


Lieutenant Ivor Benjamin Baldwin is commemorated on Page 242 of Canada's Second World War Book of Remembrance.

He is also commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
