Thomas served in Revolution War in George Washington's Army in 13th VA Light Inf. under Capt.Wm. Simms and Silas Zane 1776 and 1777-78 Valley Forge.
He settled in Walnut Twp., Gallia Co., OH . He married Jemima Scutt, b. 1765 d. 10 1806 Gallia Co., OH, 10 Oct. 1787 Westmoreland Co., VA

Thomas W. Clark was one of the earliest settlers of Walnut Twp on Sandfork. He was elected one of the first Justices of the Peace. He died 9Mar1831 and was buried in the Clark Cemetery on his farm. He was small of stature with red hair and ruddy complexion. Walnut Twp. was officially organized 13Apr1819 and he was elected Justice of the Peace in an election held on Sand Fork Creek.

Thomas and Jemima Scutt were married 10 Oct 1787 in Virginia. They are my GGG Grandparents. Their son William and Betsy Nida Clark are my GG Grandparents.

Thomas served Lieut. Zane's Co. 13 Virginia Military Rev. War. In Dec 1776, Enlisted as Ensign. In April 1777 at the age of 17 promoted to First Lieut. Was at Valley Forge during the historic winter of 1778.
