OBITUARY
Minnie Belle Carter Dubberly, 87 of Waycross, GA. Died Friday afternoon (April 25, 2003) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Dubberly descended from Samuel and Jane Wilson Carter, who settled in 1815 in the area that became Appling County Ga. in 1818. She was born to the late Millard W. Carter and Dealpha Edenfield Carter. She moved to Waycross in 1948 where she worked for the City of Waycross in the tax assessors office. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and the Euzeland Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband Delma 'Dub' Dubberly, a sister, Mildred Bacon, and five brothers, Theo Carter, Leonard Carter, Ollie Carter, Willie Carter and George Carter. She is survived by her sister Madie Crawford of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Lizzie Page Carter of Bristol; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements were with Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
