Mrs. Anna Mae Bates died at the residence, Thursday, Nov. 11, 1920, of scarlet fever, aged 17 years, 7 months and 1 day. Private funeral services at the residence. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, David Louis Bates; an infant daughter; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Mason; two brothers, Edward and Frank Nation; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Rollins, Mrs. A. Sidener and Miss Mabel Nation.
