Hartford City – Clayton Albert Coleman "Al",90, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital, Paoli, IN. Al was born in Montpelier, IN. on April 29, 1920 to the Late Edward Coleman and The late Sarah (Evers) Coleman . He married Frances Louise "Lou" (Roop) Reynolds – Coleman on October 21, 1966 in Mitchell, IN, at The First Christian Church. Al had retired from Mitchell Transport and then did carpentry work. He was a member of Fishing Creek Chapel Church and had attended the First Church of The Nazarene in Montpelier, IN. Al served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. Al will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Frances Louise "Lou" Reynolds – Coleman of Mitchell; 2 sons, Wayne (Wife – Loretta) Coleman of Montpelier and Jerry (Wife – Pat) Coleman of Tennessee; 2 Step-daughters, Connie Edmonson of Mitchell and Brenda (Husband – Ron) Patton of Fla.; Several grandchildren, Several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ed Coleman of Fla, Meredith (Wife – Rosemary) Coleman of Loogootee; 5 sisters, Evelyn Kinser of Fla, Doris (Husband – Bud) Schache of Gaston, Iris Powell of Fla., Linda McLain of Montpelier and Priscilla Sills of Montpelier; Several nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his mother and father, His first wife Agnes Pearl (Barkdull) Coleman who he married on Sept. 10, 1938 and died in the early 1960's in a house fire along with several of their children; 3 daughters and 5 sons deceased; brother, Eugene Coleman and sister, Lola Moorman. Funeral services for Al will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High St. Hartford City, Indiana with Rev. Glenn Moorman officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Chastain Funeral Home, 705 West Warren St. Mitchell, IN. 47446; And again from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High Street, Hartford City, IN. 47348.
